Interview with Arnór Ingi Bjarkason

When you moved to Lithuania and why?
I moved here because of my girlfriend at the beginning of July.

What's the dish that you tried in Lithuania and you hate it?

None so far!

What's the dish that you love in Lithuania?

(Can I say koldūnai with sour cream 😂? )

It's definitely koldūnai with sour cream!

How would you describe the food that you serve at PACAI in 3 words?
I don’t like to put labels on my food but I guess I would say, flavor-forward, simple, not healthy.

What's the strangest thing ever that you tried?

Nothing that I find strange but others might find, like puffin, shark, crispy bulls dick, sheep & beef testacles. You know, normal food :)

What's the most hilarious situation that happened in the kitchen for you?

I burned my old head chef on the forehead with a hot tray twice in about 5 minutes (accidentally of course).

What's your favorite dish ever?

My grandma’s rice porridge with cinnamon sugar & raisins.

TOP food travel destination?

It has to be Copenhagen, been there multiple times and still haven’t tried everything I want to.

What’s the dish that you always want to have another....and another bite?
On Christmas we have this lightly smoked pork with mustard glaze, can’t wait to have it.

What are your top 3 restaurants in your home city, Reykjavík?
Óx, Dill & Brút.

What are your 3 favorite restaurants in Iceland?
Óx, Dill & Slippurinn.

Which restaurant around the world would you recommend our subscribers to visit?
Can’t I just say PACAI 😁
But there are so many restaurants all around the world it’s impossible to name just one, some one of my favorites is Alouette in Copenhagen. Not the best food but I love it.

Would you like to host a pop dinner for Another Bite Food Club?
Would love to!
